Mónica Maldonado is an abstract artist , musician, and educator from Boulder, Colorado who creates and expresses inspiration through their works.
As a youngster, when Mónica wasn’t daydreaming they were painting portraits and learning songs of their favorite musicians. They grew up in a home that had a deep appreciation for music and art, so naturally, that’s all they wanted to pursue.
Mónica is inspired by adventures, movement, and risk-takers. They specialize in creating abstracts, portraits, and figures in surreal and real worlds. Mónica loves using acrylic and oil paints to capture shapes, movement, and flow in order to transplant the viewer into the artwork - into a world of wonder, dreams, and possibility. A world where rebels and risk-takers thrive and succeed in making their visions a reality.
